As a collaborative duo, Bani Haykal and Shahila Baharom ‘s interest in interdisciplinary and intercultural projects tap into culture and language as primary resources. They investigate the correlation of the visual and sonic languages, combining them together to formulate audiovisual performances revolving around a narrative. During their residency, the artists will intend to further explore and develop their audio-visual performance vocabulary. This body of work will include the development of a new physical structure (instrument / sound sculpture) which would be incorporated into the performance which consists of overhead projections, physical movements and sound.
