Imagining the sounds of the post-folk.

This project is a collaborative work between The UnifiedField and Amsterdam based media institute STEIM.  The first phase focused on the Indonesian archipelago and tries to

– explore different ways of interpreting the  past musical heritage of Indonesia with a contemporary vision,

– preserve and diffuse declining and/or lesser known musical forms in the Indonesian archipelago.

– facilitate the creation of new artistic works.

– introduce to international audiences the emerging amalgams of traditional and experimental, left-field music from Indonesia.
