ENG// The Unifiedfield / el campo unificado is an independent art space and nomadic artist-run organization focusing on the experimental aspects of sound, video and performance art. We observe the world as a network of interdependent connections and we understand artistic practice as a vehicle that can transform life, our relation with ourselves, society, and the natural world. The Unifiedfield previously occupied a traditional complex amongst rice fields in Yogyakarta (Indonesia), subsequently moving into a cave in Granada (Spain) before settling in an antique building nestled in Granada’s historic Moorish quarters, the Albayzín, where it ran an artist residency for three years. From 2013 until 2017, The Unifiedfield ran its Nomadic Artist-in-Residence Program in The Philippines in collaboration with Balud Art Network.
In 2017, The Unifiedfield / el campo unificado launched its third residency program in Castellar de la Frontera, Cádiz (Spain). From the 16th October until the 18th November, four international artists coincided in a beautiful Andalusian home at a medieval fortress in the heart of Los Alcornocales Natural Park. For this program, artists are invited to work out of their comfort zone to experiment with collaborative processes and ephemeral interventions in the village and the natural surroundings. In this new stage we hope to establish alliances and partnerships with like-minded people and organizations working towards the experimentation in the arts and the cultural and eco-social transformation.
